Calendar Sync Settings

Adding a Calendar Sync

Super Admin Users have the ability to connect a Google or Microsoft calendar that will keep calendar events in sync between a public calendar and a specifically chosen calendar(s)

Connect a calendar by going to Media Settings, then Calendar and click the purple button in the top right corner that says Sync Calendar.

Editing a Calendar Sync

Click the Edit button for the calendar you want to edit. This will allow you to change the account, calendar, section, or organization for that connection.

Once you are done editing, click Import to save changes.

Removing a Calendar Sync

Click the trash can icon next to the calendar connection you want to remove. This will remove the calendar sync, but will not remove the events that are present in your Event section.

Resetting Google Calendar Permissions

If a Google calendar connection is disconnected from our Platform, permissions for the Google calendar may need to be reset before that calendar can be connected again.

While logged into the Google account that owns the calendar you are trying to reconnect:

With the connection removed, it is now possible to reconnect the Google account and reconnect the calendar.

How Quickly Do Events Sync?

For Google and Microsoft calendar connections, events typically sync within seconds to minutes. When connecting a calendar for the first time, or when syncing a large volume of past and future events, the initial sync may take longer — this is expected and not a sign that something is wrong.

For third-party platforms connected via iCal subscription (such as Bound, Rschool, or 8 to 18), sync timing is entirely controlled by those platforms. Events will update in your Events section on their schedule.

Reconnecting or Starting Over

If your calendar connection shows a warning in Media Settings > Calendars, you will see a Reconnect option. Use this to re-authenticate your account without affecting your existing events.

If you want to start completely fresh with a calendar connection — for example, to switch accounts or fix a broken sync — follow this order carefully:

  1. Disconnect the calendar first by clicking the trash can icon to remove the sync connection.

  2. Confirm the calendar is fully disconnected before taking any further steps.

  3. Once disconnected, you can safely delete any events you no longer need from your Events section.

Important: Do not delete events while the calendar is still connected. If the calendar connection is active when events are deleted from the platform, those deletions may be pushed back to your source calendar (Google or Microsoft), permanently removing them. If you need events deleted in bulk and your calendar is still connected, contact support.
