The email display section in CMS Settings allows you to choose how emails will be displayed on the Staff page of your website. To make emails available on your site, they must be added in the appropriate field in the Staff section.
Once you have selected the correct visibility for your staff emails, select Save Changes.
Display Emails
Display Emails will make your staff emails visible in the Staff Directory on your site.
When clicked, emails will function as standard mailto links, opening a draft email in your default email client.
While this provides an easy way for users to send emails, it's important to note that it's also possible for bots to scrape these emails for spam or phishing attempts.
Email Form
Email Form hides staff emails completely, replacing them with a Send Message button.
When clicked, a pop up form opens, allowing the user to fill in their information and send a message using our platform's email service.
This form includes non visible reCAPTCHA functionality, making it more secure against bots.
The subject of emails received by the staff member will indicate that the email was sent via Apptegy.
Warning: Since the email is not sent directly from the user, there is no way to verify the identity of the person sending the email.
An additional IP Address will be provided in the email forwarded to your staff member.
No Emails
The No Emails option doesn't display emails or contact forms on the staff page.
While it's the safest choice, no emails also restricts a user's access to staff contact information on your website.
Leaving the email field for a staff member blank achieves the same result, regardless of the option selected.
