Creating and posting stories through the Live Feed in Staff Mobile app allows you to send your post to multiple locations without having to use your computer.
To start, open the Apptegy for Staff Mobile app and select Live Feed in the menu. Then click the + icon in the bottom right corner of the app, then choose Create Post.
To begin your post:
Select the channels you’d like to send to
Write a message to go out with your post
Include a photo from your library or take one in the moment using the camera icon.
Once both steps 2 and 3 are complete, select one of the following options:
Schedule: Allows you to schedule at a later time or date
Send Now: Allows you to send the message immediately
Depending on what channel/service is selected you may be given additional steps to complete or restrictions on formatting:
Posting to Facebook from Mobile
When posting to Facebook the following formatting and limits apply:
Up to 10 images can be added
A 5000 characters limit
If you have additional Facebook pages that you've configured in the Social media settings on our website, they will be able to be posted to alternatively if needed underneath the Facebook page drop down that will appear when enabled.
Posting to X from Mobile
When posting to Twitter the following formatting and limits apply:
Up to 4 images can be added
A 280 characters limit
Posting a Notification from Mobile
When posting to Notification the following formatting and limits apply:
Text only will appear on your communities home screens for those who have downloaded the App and have enabled push notifications.
A 5000 characters limit
Notifications are sent to Push Notification Groups that can be created with assistance from our Support team
Sending a Text Message from Mobile
When sending a Text Message the following formatting and limits apply:
Text only will sent via SMS, no photos will be included
A 138 character limit, anything that is entered that exceeds this length will be sent as a link that can be clicked on to view the entire message on a web or mobile browser.Text Messages are sent to Recipients that can be created from the Call List/Recipient List area on the Apptegy Alerts website.
Sending a Voice Call or Text to Speech from Mobile
When sending a Voice Call or Text to Speech the following formatting and limits apply:
Text to Speech - A 5000 character limit
Record Audio - A 2 minute recording limit (most voicemails can record a maximum of 2-3 minutes before stopping)
Text to Speech and Voice Calls are sent to Recipients that can be created from the Call List/Recipient List area on the Apptegy Alerts website.
Sending an Email from Mobile
Email is the least limiting messaging option within Live Feed and Alerts, it supports:
Attachements
HTML Formatting
Rich Text Editing/Hyper Linking
Images
Emails are sent to Recipients that can be created from the Call List/Recipient List area on the Apptegy Alerts website.
Managing Live Feed Posts
Within the Live Feed page on the Staff mobile app there are multiple options for managing and editing your posted and scheduled Live Feed posts.
Directly underneath the title Live Feed, and the location you are currently viewing, four tabs can be selected:
Posted - this section contains Live Feed posts that were previously published and are visible on your app and/or website
Scheduled - this section contains Live Feed posts that have been scheduled for publishing at a future date and time, and will publish automatically.
Pending - this section contains Live Feed posts that were submitted by a Moderated User. Posts will appear in this section if a user has been set to moderate another user within User Management
Notifications - this section contains Live Feed posts that were sent out as push notifications to the app.
You can additionally edit or archive Live Feed posts by swiping to the left on the individual article or by clicking the ... selection at the top right corner of each post.
