Getting Started
In order to access the Social Media settings, you must be either a Super Admin or Admin. You will also need to be an Admin of the Facebook page you are connecting.
Starting the Connection
To connect a Facebook page, you will navigate to Media Settings, select Social Media, and click Connect to Facebook.
Facebook will guide you through a series of prompts before connecting for the first time. This process requires you to login using your personal account, which will allow you to grant permission for the Facebook page needed. The platform can only post to pages that you manage, and will never post to your personal account, or access your personal information.
After connecting your account, a drop-down menu will appear above the Connect to Facebook button. Select the Facebook page you wish to connect.
Tip: This must be repeated for each school level you are connecting to Facebook, for the additional connections, most permission steps will be skipped since they were confirmed in the first connection.
Additional Allowed Facebook Pages
After establishing the connection to Facebook, if you are an Admin of more than one business page, you will see an additional section, Allowed Pages.
Allowed Pages enables you to select multiple business pages to have as alternative options to your default selected Facebook page used in Live Feed.
Once you have selected additional pages using the square check boxes, a new section will appear in your Live Feed when using Facebook, the section will be labeled Facebook page and will exist between the Post as and Publish button.
Removing a Facebook Account
In order to access the Social Media settings, you must be either a Super Admin or Admin.
To remove a Facebook account, you will navigate to Media Settings, and select Social Media. At the top of the page, you will see which Facebook account is currently connected to the platform for the selected organization.
To remove this connection, click Remove to the right of the Facebook connection. You will no longer be able to post Live Feed or News stories to this Facebook account, unless the account is reconnected.
