Alerts Settings

The settings section of Alerts can be used to personalize the intro messages for SMS and Calls to better reflect your organizations identity. Call intro messages will also be translated if you have call lists that are language mapped.

Changing the Alerts Caller ID

By default, Voice Calls sent out through Alerts will appear as a (501) area code number. This can be changed to be your organizations phone number. A unique phone number can be set for each level of your organization. This will need to be done via Apptegy Support.

Configuring your Alerts Brand Assets

Alerts Brand Assets can be configured within the Alerts Settings section for each organization level:

The available customizations to make include:

  • School Name

  • Tagline

  • Primary Color (and a corresponding contrast ratio check)

  • A primary logo

Once added, these Brand assets will appear in Emails, and Smart SMS links that come in text messages that are longer than 138 characters, or contain an attached image.

Each location in Thrillshare already has a organization theme and using the Sync with organization theme button you can automatically pull in the latest changes to your brand without doing any extra work.

Note: If you don't already have branding auto associated at your organization level, you can add it using the upload new button. If you send an SMS or an Email before this is added, the branding will be blank.

Setting an Email Display Name and Email Address

Add your organizations name to the From: field under Email Defaults, then add an email address to the Email: field.

To ensure emails sent do not get marked as spam, additional DNS records will need to be applied. For next steps choose the Contact Support button. When you're ready, Save Changes

Setting an Intro Message

Intro messages will precede your SMS messages and Voice Calls sent from Alerts. Add up to 20 characters as part of your SMS Intro Message.

Add your Call Intro Message, this will be read as text to speech before for any TTS (text-to-speech) or Voice Calls.

Then select Refresh All Translations, this will need to be selected any time an edit is made to your call intro message. When you're ready, select Save Changes.

Email Unsubscribe Setup/Editing

In Alerts settings it is possible to customize the messaging around the unsubscribe link included in Alerts Emails.

Add/Edit your own custom message to the text box and utilize the included unsubscribe_link button to insert the variable for where the unsubscribe link will be placed.

Once you have completed writing your unsubscribe message and added your unsubscribe link by clicking on it between the messages, use the lower section to generate the translated versions to be included in translated Emails.

If the purple button is still grayed out at the bottom of the page, make sure you have selected the Refresh all translations button in the bottom right corner of the box.
